Birthday buffet

The Deer fam treated me to a birthday buffet at Jani in Milford this weekend. The nephews were in full effect---I expect nothing less of them.

Ah, sushi! Although I was strangely reminded of orange creme savers...

Jello and chopsticks? An unusual combo indeed but my nephew mastered it.

It's not a party until the dinosaurs make an appearance!

Dave and T-Diddy

The mayhem ensued with Dave and Steve. Fun was certainly had by all.

My 2 Cents from Fitty Cent

I photographed the 50 Cent concert at work last night. It was fun to shoot something like this again although I was quite shocked by his lyrics and conversation with the crowd. Damn!

Opening act "Ms. Quick"

His most redeeming quality? He's a Yankee fan.

Dreamy dusk at Las Vetas

There was a great Maxfield Parrish sky last night.

Meet Cisco

My friends Mickey and Tisola got a new pooch a few months ago and I finally got the chance to meet him tonight. He's undoubtedly my new bestest buddy.

Happy Cisco!

Scam I am

I have seen so many of these ridiculous "before and after" photos alongside products that probably have zero effect on the gullible consumer. Just a word of advice to people who don't know any better---before buying any magic wrinkle cures, study the before and after photos first. Take this one for example:

The before shot shows the woman in harsh, overhead light which always makes the subject look like hell on earth. The after shot shows direct lighting---there could even be a soft-focus filter involved. Honestly, both shots were probably taken in the same sitting. It's all about the lighting. Wake up and get with the program people!!

Winter walk

My high school friend Jay is in town from Michigan for the new year and we hit the wintry shoreline in Fairfield this afternoon. The beach is so peaceful when it's snowing...

...until the seagulls attack.

I'm an expert when it comes to ordering up a few "natural rages".
