Blossom buzz

Sorry to bore y'all with more flower images but I've recently come to the conslusion that my dream job would be to photograph flora and fauna all day long. Here are a few grape hyacinth and orchid snaps I shot this week. The blossoms are simply amazing.

And how 'bout the light that my red kitchen curtains kicked into the shot. Nice!

These beautiful orchids were raised by Peter Penczer of Fairfield. I had to do a portrait of him because he's being honored for his real estate contributions to the Operation Hope shelter and in waiting for him to finish primping, I spotted his orchid greenhouse that sits just off the kitchen. It was amazing!

Hocus pocus crocus

Seriously though---isn't spring magical? One day it's "Dreary City" (well, still is a bit I guess) but then the next day, these amazing little flowers pop up on the landscape, reminding us that beach days are just around the corner. YEEE-HAW!

Dire fire

I got called to work early this morning to cover this fire in Stratford. The extreme winds made it extra hard for firefighters to put it out. The bright sun behind the house made for some dramatic lighting.

Exchange mates

I got this shot when I was covering a reception for Japanese exchange students in Norwalk, CT. The kid making the peace sign was obviously a ham and the most popular one in the group.

The season's end

Saturday marked the end of the high school basketball season here in Connecticut. I shot two games at CCSU in New Britain---two of our local teams played. Here's a flavor of the day...

Hot damn!

Until next year's basketball season....SEE YA!

Meet the lamb fam!

At Trumbull High School's Agriscience Center, six of the resident ewe's recently gave birth to a total of 13 adorable lambs. I was lucky enough to photograph the students with them the other day. SO CUTE!

Wheeeeee!

Future Diva

This pint-sized cutie was rockin' out at the Pequot Library yesterday. If I were a superhero, I'd want to look like her....glasses and all.

Sophia & Johnny

Here are a few shots of my friends John and Andrea's kids Sophia and Johnny. So cute!

Hula squirt

I shot this at an elementary school talent show the other night. You can't get much cuter than her!

Girl curls

Tis the season for a bit o' Irish entertainment...

I'm fascinated by the wigs of Irish step dancers. They're just so bizarre. I'm pretty sure that I want one for my birthday.

Bagpipers? Not such a fan. See image below to understand my feeling about them.
