Birthday hijinks

The usual mayhem ensued during a pre-birthday bash for Steve at our friend Matt's house this weekend. Matt, the King of Fireworks that is......

Leisurely Labor Day

Steve and I had a great time at my Godmother Posie's Labor Day picnic yesterday---the 2nd annual to be precise. We managed to get in some swimming, badminton and all-around fun, fun, fun. I'm sad to see the summer go...

How 'bout these beauties!?!?

Now THAT'S what I call a Bloody Mary!

Joseph and Zsuzsi

Pete and Claudia

Steve and the ol' ball and chain

Time for a little badminton mayhem!

Pete nails it!

Peti, charging the court

Birdie, overboard!

David's boredom was starting to show.

Posie, the hostess with the mostest, found time for a little vacuuming amidst all of the action. Nothing gets by her!

Best buds, Stevie and Dave

I'll miss the blue of the pool but I'm making way for the colors of the fall!

Birthday boy

It was my 11-year-old nephew Peti's birthday party last night. The mayhem ensued when the 3-D glasses came out (a la the seamonster movie from Grandma).

'Dumpling' the panda, the latest Webkinz addition to the family.

A dinosaur book, also from Grandma, came with lots of accessories.

And you can't go wrong with a Whoopee Cusion.

Cake time!

Dinosaur King.....Peti's fave!

Enter our own version of 'Xtreme Bowling'. It sure made for a lot of fun and some great shots!

Happy Birthday, Peti!

4-day-old fam

I had the pleasure of meeting 4-day-old Sohana Pari Reed yesterday, the beautiful daughter of my dear friends Mickey and Tisola. It was wonderful to spend this quiet time with them, capturing a few hours of Princess Sohana's first week in action. My heart is filled with happiness for them---what a blessing!

So pretty....just like her mama.

Daddy's girl!

Snoozy girl!

She sure got her mama's beauty but unfortunately, she ended up with her daddy's lobster claw toe :).

I just love Mickey's reflection in the glass.

Serenaded by daddy.

I was there for Sohana's first rainstorm and after the clouds broke, the light was amazing (as seen here with Mickey looking as handsome as ever).
